Tournaments: How To Participate
Tournaments are scheduled each week and played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays or Sundays.
Simply indicate on the pairings sign-up sheet that you would like to participate in the tournament. You may form your own group, but you must play with another Association member to participate in tournaments. However, check your Member Handbook or this website; some tournaments must be paired by the tournament committee and you may not form your own group.
You may not play the same tournament more than once. For instance, if you signed up to play a tournament on a Saturday and you had a difficult round, you may not drop out of the tournament for Saturday and try it again on Sunday.
On the day of play of the tournament, write your name on the tournament sheet, which is posted on the bulletin board in the hallway near the restroom. You must write in your name before you begin to play. Once you start to play, you cannot write in your name on the tournament sheet. If you decide to withdraw from the tournament, you can cross your name off the sheet. If you’re having a bad day on the course, don’t feel you have to stay in the tournament, just enjoy the round!
Results
Tournament winners are posted on the bulletin board located in the Pro Shop and on this website. Most tournaments have 6 winners; prizes (store credits) accumulate over the season and are awarded at the closing dinner. Be sure to check…you may be surprised to see your name!
