Weekly Tournaments: Play
Each participant is responsible for knowing how a tournament is played. If a participant plays incorrectly, she will be disqualified. If there are any questions about how a tournament is played, check with the tournament scorer before playing. The rules for each tournament are described in this Handbook.
1

Tournament Day.
Tournaments may be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday and must be played with another member of the association.

2

Tournament Sheet.
Each player must sign up on the tournament sheet (posted on the bulletin board) before teeing off or she is not considered a participant for that round.

3

Paired Tournaments.
A paired tournament is defined as a tournament that must be paired by a Pairing Committee Member. The tournament descriptions in this Handbook specify those tournaments that have been designated as paired tournaments.

4

Rules Interpretation.
The Rules Chairperson will have the sole responsibility for interpreting the rules of golf for all tournaments. All questions must be brought to her attention. No other person can make a rules decision. If a situation occurs during play, the player must post her score but indicate that a ruling is required. She must notify the Rules Chairperson.

When you are doubtful as to your rights on procedure you may play a second ball. This rule should be invoked if there is doubt as to how the ball should be played. Announce your decision to invoke the rule and declare the ball that you will score if the ruling permits. Play both balls and refer to the Rules Chairperson for a decision on what score to post.
