The following tips will make the game more enjoyable for everyone:

ON THE TEE:

Step into the tee box while the previous player is removing her tee. Tee up your ball as the player is leaving the teeing ground. It is possible to save 15 seconds per player just by following this tip, which means a foursome can trim 18 minutes from their round on the tees alone!

Weekly Tournament Eligibility

MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING

Any individual who has been a dues-paying member for no less than one golf season and has a computed handicap.

NEW MEMBERS WITH ESTABLISHED HANDICAP

Any new member with a verified handicap from another club. Verification must be received by the handicap chairperson or any member of the tournament committee prior to participation in a tournament.

NEW MEMBERS WITHOUT ESTABLISHED HANDICAP

A new member must establish a handicap to participate in tournaments. To stablish a handicap with OHWGA, a new member must submit five attested scorecards from the current calendar year.Additional information is available in the New Member packet.

LAPSED MEMBERS

An individual who was previously a member but is no longer on the computer sheet is considered a new member and must follow the eligibility rules above (new member without established handicap).
