Club Rules

The following Club Rules have been set forth and established by the Board of Directors. Requests for a change or amendment to these Rules must be presented in writing to the current Board of Directors for consideration.

These Club Rules are for the Oak Hills Women's Golf Association (OHWGA) and do not superceed any other club rules. Please be aware of other club rules when playing in a tournament at a course other than Oak Hills.

The Oak Hills Women's Golf Association has chosen to play winter rules at Oak Hills for the entire season regardless of any other course posting. Therefore, if your ball is in the fairway (of the hole you are playing), you may move it six inches in any direction but no closer to the hole. Also, you have the option to lift, clean and replace your ball in the fairway within 6", no closer to the hole.  This rule applies to all OHWGA tournaments played at Oak Hills Golf Course.

The maximum allowable handicap for tournament-scoring is 36 (33.2 index) for ALL tournaments played at Oak Hills. This means that if your handicap is 42, you will receive only 36 strokes during tournament play at Oak Hills. For "away tournaments" sponsored by OHWGA, you will receive the appropriate number of strokes that equate to a 33.2 index.

If the course is open during inclement weather, the player has the option to play in the tournament.

If the course is open for play on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday, the tournament will be considered official and the prizes will be awarded as scheduled.

All scores for rounds played at home and away must be entered in the computer for handicap purposes except designated tournaments.
